Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Environmental, Health & Safety - Manufacturing to join our team in Olathe, KS! As a Senior Manager EHS Manufacturing, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all associates and maintaining compliance with Walmart's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. Our goal is to create a better tomorrow for our associates, customers, communities, and the environment!

What you'll do::

  • Managing and maintaining a comprehensive safety and occupational health program, including respirator and hearing protection, power equipment, bloodborne pathogens, machine safety, and ergonomic programs.
  • Providing technical leadership, training, and professional development to direct reports and emergency response team members.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to improve safety performance, cost, and operational efficiency, including setting and achieving leading and lagging KPIs.
  • Conducting audits, reviews, and risk assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions, including managing third-party audits and inspections.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including managing permits and reporting requirements in partnership with home office resources
  • Knowledge of process safety management programs (ammonia, combustible dust, etc.)
  • Administering contractor safety programs
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date environmental documentation, including sampling results and compliance reports.
  • Articulating the levers that influence data and ensuring data quality, including organizing and processing information for analysis.
  • Creating and implementing safety management programs and developing technology changes across multiple processes to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Evaluating air, water, and waste pollution minimization
  • Supporting regulatory visits, including preparing audit reports for management review.
  • Ensure proper completion of transportation-related documents and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience building Safety management programs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, CGMPs, USDA and FDA Regulations
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and supervisory skills
  •  Experience with Process engineering, data collection, analytics, asset protection policies, operational processes, stakeholder management, OSHA guidelines, training methodologies, risk management processes, and process improvement techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
  • Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Adaptable and open to change

The annual salary range for this position is $89,500.00-$192,500.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, environmental science, or related area and 2 years’ supervisory experience. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in environment, health, and safety program management in food, food-related, or consumer package goods in a manufacturing environment.
