Job Summary

The Operations Support Specialist provides administrative, technical, and specialized support for purchasing and inventory management. This includes processing invoices, credit card payments, and requisitions; review goods receipt and invoices to assure accuracy; research and back up plant procurement, scheduling, and supply room. The Operations Support Specialist helps improve process improvements. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs location. You will report to the Digital Operations Manager.

Position Responsibilities

  • Be a resource in troubleshooting and escalating technical issues with electronic tools and applications
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies, reaching out to corporate and plant resources
  • Provide technical support for electronic tools and applications
  • Review system health and following up and escalating any issues with IT team
  • Write application coding for electronic operational tools
  • Evaluate application usage and adoption
  • Coordinate with multiple facility departments on needs and effectiveness of tools
  • Provide feedback to requesting departments regarding tool usage and effectiveness
  • Work with requesting departments to confirm the functionality of electronic tools and applications
  • Work with and support plant and corporate personnel, including procurement, scheduling, logistics, supply room, inventory control, finance, and operations
  • Maintain compliance with all corporate and plant policies
  • Participate in cost reduction projects
  • Process required paperwork
  • Evaluate information to choose the best solution or address issues
  • Help develop associates

Physical Requirements

While performing the tasks of this job, you are required to talk and hear. You are frequently required to stand and walk. You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. You must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
