How you would make an impact

The Business Manager (EM) will directly support the International COO in all key executive management responsibilities.  The EM will ensure that all activities are done in a timely, highly effective manner for the Global COO and allow the COO to focus on business priorities.

The EM will have a strong focus on developing, implementing and controlling strategic initiatives.  The position demands a high level of initiative and autonomy to add value, to take corrective action and institute new processes or activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Directly assist the International COO in all day-to-day operations, including a variety of complex tasks
  • Be credible in presenting as a senior executive in the absence of the International COO (although not deputizing for him/her)
  • Drive change as directed by the International COO across all facets of the business
  • Ensure that the International COO is visible with the team as necessary
  • Carry out instructions of the Global COO at a high level to successfully complete tasks at hand and to enable the International COO to be involved as needed
  • Maintain continuous and effective communication, interface with clients, management, and employees as necessary
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, prepare information, monitor status of action items, identify priorities and organize daily assignments
  • Leads or participates in ad-hoc red teams or projects varying from large to small one-off projects
  • Assist with executive operational management decisions and actions as directed.
  • Research, compile, analyze and summarize data for special projects and/or reports

What you'll need to succeed

  • BA degree or equivalent is preferred;
  • Desire to learn and use this role as a platform for career development
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in supporting senior executives would be beneficial
  • Extremely strong people skills
  • Comfortable in building relationships, internally and externally
  • Comfortable in voicing his/her opinion representing the viewpoints of others in a productive manner
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity, conflict and difficult situations
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
