About the team:

Walmart Global Tech is focused on improving Walmart’s customer experience across both physical & digital and make Walmart the most exciting place to shop. With 4000+ brick and mortar stores and thousands of other suppliers fulfilling Walmart's online/in-store orders for over 1 billion customers - the challenge and complexity is pronounced.

You will play a key leadership role in International Tech group serving Walmart’s multiple international markets like Canada, Mexico, Chile , CAM and South Africa. You will be responsible for driving large-scale programs cutting across fast growing pillars like CRM, Revenue & Marketing Tech and Digital Wallets. The role will require you to manage a large TPM team and play a hands-on functional role in delivering ambiguous and complex programs at a global scale. As a functional owner, you will work closely with business, product, engineering and data sciences leaders to ensure timely planning, managing execution, meeting business commitments and defining ways of working. You will partner with the Technical Strategy team to drive the overall vision and efficiency improvements through thought-leadership and technology innovation. You need to demonstrate technical and domain acumen to drive simplification and nurture platform mindset to create enterprise-wide leverage. As a people leader, you will be responsible for hiring, career development and continuously raising the performance bar of the team.

What You'II Do:

This role is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment, program execution, technical thought leadership and stakeholder management across complex technical initiatives. This role serves as a strategic amplifier of engineering efforts, connecting business goals with technology delivery and ensuring programs stay on track through ambiguity and change.

🔹 Stakeholder Engagement & Program Alignment

• Identify and engage relevant stakeholders across technical and non-technical groups.
• Develop and implement stakeholder management strategies to address competing priorities and ambiguity.
• Lead cross-functional alignment efforts by organizing and facilitating conversations to resolve conflicts and drive consensus.
• Secure stakeholders buy-in for program roadmaps, ensuring transparency on priorities and value delivery.
• Coach team members on effective stakeholder engagement techniques.

🔹 Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving

• Use data analysis and research to define program success metrics and evaluate program health.
• Apply structured problem-solving techniques to complex, ambiguous challenges.
• Lead root cause analysis, promote insight extraction from diverse data sources, and influence decisions using data.
• Mentor others on effective problem identification, analytical frameworks, and diagnostic tools.

🔹 Program Planning & Development

• Define and manage large-scale program plans including scope, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
• Drive clarity in ambiguous situations involving conflicting strategies or unclear requirements.
• Secure commitments from stakeholders and resolve cross-team and cross-domain constraints.
• Identify synergies and reduce duplication across program workstreams.
• Improve ways of working by introducing better planning, tooling, and workflows.

🔹 Program Delivery & Risk Management

• Drive program execution by managing risk, scope, timeline, and budget.
• Use project tracking tools and dashboards to monitor performance across multiple initiatives.
• Assess and mitigate risks across domains, escalate blockers as needed, and manage change effectively.
• Ensure teams remain focused on high-impact work and are unblocked to deliver against goals.
• Align resources and priorities to maximize value delivery and efficient execution.

🔹 Technical Fluency

• Translate business and program requirements into high-level technical design conversations.
• Understand modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, system lifecycle management, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to broker end-to-end solutions.
• Apply knowledge of emerging technologies, security standards, and site reliability principles to inform program decisions.

🔹 Domain Expertise & Cross-Functional Integration

• Demonstrate deep awareness of industry trends, domain terminology, and success metrics.
• Extend program plans to include field operations, marketing, and customer impact analysis.
• Lead due diligence for build vs. buy decisions and assess implications of new processes and automation techniques.
• Influence product and business roadmaps with domain insights and strategic foresight.

🔹 Influential Communication

• Craft and deliver clear, concise narratives backed by qualitative and quantitative data.
• Tailor communication styles to stakeholder needs across different levels of the organization.
• Facilitate decision-making by framing options, risks, and trade-offs in business terms.
• Provide and receive feedback with a growth mindset; evolve team practices based on collective input.
• Lead complex discussions and communicate positions with transparency and neutrality.
