The Global Finance Director for Graco’s Expansion Markets Division is a strategic leadership position that will work alongside management to develop and execute global strategic and growth initiatives. To ensure company growth plans represent sound financial decisions, the Finance Director will ensure M&A and integration activities are strategically aligned from a financial perspective to drive the highest return on investment. This role is responsible for overseeing the management of accounting and financial control functions to drive profitable long-term business growth. Financial control is a key responsibility of this position by setting budgets and working closely with department heads to ensure that income and expenditure remain within target. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning, due diligence, post-merger integration, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
What You Will Do at Graco
M&A Strategy Support
Collaborate with senior leadership to assess potential acquisition targets and support strategic decision-making.
Conduct M&A deal & transaction due diligence.
Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the impact of potential deals, including cash flow projections, synergies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Financial Integration Leadership
Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute integration activities, ensuring that financial and operational systems are aligned.
Oversee the integration of business unit’s P&L and balance sheets.
Establish and maintain an effective system of internal controls to ensure financial information is reliable, assets are safeguarded, compliance with management and accounting policies, laws, and regulations.
Implement processes, analysis and reporting to provide divisional specific and corporate-wide financial and operating measurements.
Develop financial and operational metrics, analytics and insight into each business that can integrate into the larger company.
Strategic Financial Planning
Partner with business leaders to drive global growth and margin expansion strategies and to align the organization to execute for success.
Lead the annual plan and periodic reprojections process, overseeing business unit plan activities and integration into larger company financial objectives.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Maintain the highest level of financial integrity and controls while deriving and adhering to effecting accounting policies in a dynamic environment.
Team Leadership and Financial Management
Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a matrix’d financial team supporting the individual business unites and larger division, ensuring alignment and integration with organizational goals and promoting a culture of leadership excellence.
Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual finance budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
What You Will Bring to Graco
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
CPA, CMA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
10+ years’ experience in financial management and leadership, preferably within a global manufacturing environment.
Excellent leadership skills; 5+ years of team leadership experience preferred.
Deep expertise with M&A and integration activities, specifically around oversight of financial integration within a manufacturing organization.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel approximately 15% of time, both domestic and international.
