Wayfair is seeking an action-oriented, and collaborative individual that can translate business problems to actionable insights and data driven solutions to improve the customer experience and drive lower post order costs for the 3 Specialty Retail Brands (All Modern, Birch Lane and Joss & Main). They will do this by developing end-to-end SKU-level action plans, clearly define targets, articulate opportunity size, and track progress to goal. They will drive a 3-6 month work plan focused on this improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to drive results.

What you will do:

  • Understand strategic business goals and deliver strategies and solutions for achieving those goals and navigating roadblocks through the use of data
  • Build datasets to determine insights and actions, establish project plans to execute and dashboard to track progress. 
  • Communicate performance trends and improvement opportunities to management both within and outside your immediate line of reporting.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and work collaboratively to improve the quality of our customer experience 
  • Communicate regularly with cross functional partners to understand business trends and new ways to break down problems into solutions
  • Engage in road mapping and prioritization through diligent opportunity sizing and scoping efforts
  • Own SKU diagnosis, review SKU operations KPI trends to understand recent performance & drivers
  • Based on findings from diagnosis, outline SKU-level project plan and partner cross-functionally with Merchants and Operations teams to drive results based on SKU diagnosis
  • Set reporting of SKU performance and partner with Ops Finance, Brand Finance and Profit for tracking

What you’ll need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 2+ years of professional experience 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset  
  • Curiosity and eagerness to have an impact on the business, especially as it relates to post order costs and customer experience
  • Ability to thrive in an fast-paced, evolving organization while juggling several priorities
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
  • An open personality and confidence to work with mid level or C-level business partners
  • Bachelor’s degree 

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy: All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday. At this time, Wayfair does not provide sponsorship for employment authorization for this position.
