The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Engineer Field Technician at Joint Base McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst, New Jersey

  • This work will include teaming with other engineers in various disciplines to develop best-in-class products and solutions. 

  • You will contribute to a wide variety of projects as our business needs evolve. 

  • The ability to take responsibility for increasingly difficult tasks, complete them on schedule, while documenting and presenting results is expected. 

  • A strong candidate will demonstrate an interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to effectively complete projects in a timely manner. 

  • The desired candidate will also possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. 



Responsibilities:

  • Implements and executes on technical initiatives and solutions. 

  • Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.  

  • Addresses somewhat complex technical issues/problems that require a depth of technical job knowledge from other areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue

  • Perform Computer-aided design software (CAD), preferably CREO Parametric

  • Utilize engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, CREO Simulate, or similar)

  • The designing and manufacturing of prototype Mechanical and Electrical components utilizing 3D Printing and additively manufactured techniques 

  • Work with the core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Experience mechanically and electrically integrating prototype systems into tactical platforms to include HMMWV, STRYKER, and Raptor vehicles

  • Hands on experience with various tactical communication systems such as TACNET, WIN-T, L3Harris, Persistent, GD and Elbit

  • Experience using Visio, Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing tools and Techniques to design system, network and power architectures and prototype solutions for testing

  • Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), ROBOTC, Additive/Subtractive Machining, C++ Coding, Software/Hardware Troubleshooting, Product Design, Robotics, Circuitry, Process Efficiency and Structure Forces

  • An Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance (US Citizen)




Desired:

  • A BS in a Physics/Systems Engineering from an accredited college or university.  If currently pursuing a Degree, it is required to complete the Degree 18 months from the date of hire

  • Creativity and analytical skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to develop solutions from an idea to final product

  • Understanding of the implications of issues such as cost, safety, design for manufacturability, and time constraints

  • Experience working in a field environment supporting with military exercises and evaluation events vehicles 

  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner, and the ability to work well with others

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering and experience in vehicle power system design 

  • Hands on mechanical aptitude/skills, knowledge of basic hand tools and shop procedures, ability to direct and lead technicians

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
 

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$24.00
