SUMMARY

The Program Director is responsible for managing the implementation of multiple enterprise initiatives and ensuring their alignment with business strategies and objectives.  The position is accountable for developing and managing an effective project management and quality assurance discipline and ensuring that enterprise projects are delivering on their promised benefits to our government customers on time, within budget, in scope and with exceptional quality.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)

Graduate degree preferred.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Develop and implement program strategies and objectives to achieve organizational goals.

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs and projects.

Monitor program performance and make necessary adjustments to meet targets.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program success.

Provide leadership and guidance to program staff, fostering a positive work environment.

Prepare and present program reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Supports enterprise project portfolio management, financial management and operations for the Business Services practice area.

Develop relationships with key business units, providing thought-leadership around project framework and delivery methods and helping support strategic planning and execution. 

Receives executive level guidance on improving the performance of the business.

Leads program plans for business development, proposals and technical delivery.

Demonstrates leadership for specific market opportunities, competitive analysis and financial and operations business impacts.

Responsible for operating profit/loss and customer satisfaction for programs.

Supports organizational business development by leading capture on organic growth. Demonstrates capabilities in business development life cycle: capture management, proposal management, solution architecture, pricing and competitive assessment.

Provides thoughtful leadership by leveraging the full breadth of the corporation's capabilities and expertise in developing and enabling innovative ideas, unique strategies, tools and techniques for delivering complex client solutions.

Effectively communicates with Executive Leadership, partners and clients with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels with clear messaging.

Uses a collaborative leadership style with ability to work across organizational boundaries; ability to be comfortable in environment of uncertainty leading multiple high-energy project teams; and passionate about helping clients solve hard problems. 

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience/expertise in project/program management. Twelve (12) years’ experience/expertise in government contracting. Graduate degree preferred.
