Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated, results driven wealth executive to lead a team of Senior Regional Managers and  Financial Planners in the Ontario Southwest region (The Corridor, London and Area, Simcoe, Georgian Trails, Northern Shield, Windsor Essex, 3 Lake Counties). Financial Planning is a growth engine for TD, so talent acquisition and development is critical to the business at both the planning practitioner level and the leader's roles.  The Region Head, Financial Planning reports to the VP, Head of TDW Financial Planning, and will:

  • Lead sales and distribution for OSW Region Financial Planning business; grow assets, revenue, and profit while deepening relationships (i.e., key lines of P&L for the region)
  • Increase SOW and market share within the region
  • Frame, communicate and execute a cohesive, market relevant vision, mission and a 3-year strategy aligned with the FP national strategy.
  • Execute within a sustainable operating model focused on driving improved operational effectiveness and efficiency within the region
  • Formulate and drive the long-term strategy and implementation roadmap for the FP business and initiatives
  • Create and implement an annual and quarterly business development plan that aligns with the TDW FP strategy and overall, Wealth Management strategy
  • Lead, collaborate and provide the strategic direction of the employee experience and the FP client experience.
  • Influence and lead enterprise risk policy to be more suited with client needs (Risk Appetite Statement, Policy, Oversight, Compliance)
  • Build FP brand awareness and acceptance, both internally and externally, focusing on our ability to deliver best in class and integrated solutions
  • Align/work effectively with key stakeholders across TD
  • Effectively attract, retain and develop like-minded top talent at all levels through active ongoing coaching in the Regional Leadership team

Job Requirements:

Specific Requirements/Accreditations:

  • University or post-graduate degree
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) Certified Financial Planner (CFP) considered an asset.

  • Proven sales management & leadership experience.
  • Results driven, highly motivated individual with a track record of taking on new challenges and delivering superior results.
  • Embraces change and recognized as a champion for continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding people management, leadership, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to build for the future by attracting and developing the very best people.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills, the ability to impact and influence.
  • Solid understanding of TDCT and Wealth management business is an asset.
