Job Description:

CUSTOMER

  • Financial reporting and attribution activities such as balancing / reconciling / validating transactions, preparation of files, data gathering and cleansing, report production and preparation etc.
  • Develop and execute on reporting functions and/or produce consolidated or aggregated reporting as appropriate. Provide reporting requirements to key stakeholders in-line with the agreed upon SLA's
  • Provide accurate and thorough financial reporting analysis, interpret results, commentary and make recommendations, to key stakeholders, and refer complex issues / situations beyond own level of expertise
  • Act as a key subject matter expert supporting for initiatives/projects impacting P&L, Attribution and Balance Sheet for TDS business line. Contribute to the analysis, and execution and/or implementation of potential initiatives, acquisitions and/or business re-structures within defined area of responsibility                                                                 
  • Provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders on a range of finance, reporting or operational processes
  • Contribute and work with Finance, other CTO teams to support enhancing operational activities s (e.g., report production, system queries, process
  • Identify, document, investigate processes / exceptions arising from transactions / processes beyond 1st level operations service delivery and resolve escalated matters and refer complex issues / situations beyond own level of expertise
  • Understand business partner / department objectives and contribute to the achievement of performance / financial objectives by recommending appropriate action to management based on analysis and review of results within scope of own area

SHAREHOLDER

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area
  • Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external/regulatory requirements, and aligns with business priorities
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development / delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience
  • Conduct reporting and / or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists
  • Acquire and apply expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others
  • Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH:

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the business strategies, products, financial valuations for derivatives and operating environment, business processes and procedures, and controls for own area (e.g., processing environment, applications, software, hardware, products)
  • Experienced working professional role providing specialized business services, advisory or processes / program support within their own area of specialty
  • Ability to execute on ad-hoc non-routine requests
  • Identifies and investigates non-standard operational / reporting / process issues and escalates issues to the appropriate area
  • Moderate level of complexity in operational / reporting / process /controls and/or analysis function requiring a short to medium term focus
  • May represents the group as a project lead on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization.
  • Provide training to others on best practices, processes, etc. as well as guide junior staff for the completion of business-as-usual functions
  • Accountable for own work and sometimes others; acts as an escalation point or knowledge resource for others in their own area
  • Works within broad guidelines / policies and independently performs tasks from end to end
  • Participate in identification and execution of innovative opportunities to help drive new products and process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Continuously develop a deep understanding of the business and product valuations, while being proactive in knowledge distribution and cross-training activities.
  • Solves moderately complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Conveys business context when providing guidance within field of specialty to internal or external stakeholders
  • Work performed under minimal management guidance and supervision
  • Generally reports to Manager or above

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 3+ years relevant experience
