As an IT Business Process Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for both implementing new systems and supporting existing systems for global core organizational functions for your domain! You will use the following standardized release procedures: coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and scheduling in a manner consistent with department standards when applicable. You will also help align the capabilities of the company’s software and design business processes and requirements based on business needs.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Gather and formalize business requirements.
Identify customers impacted by change.
Collaborate with customers to identify business requirements, vetting against the scope of the initiative.
Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by the business process or change and receive sign off from the customers.
Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers, etc.) to determine best IT solution for identified business problem.
Collaborate with implementation team to develop estimates of effort for proposed system changes.
Document (business rules, as is/to be flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional specs, and testing forms).
Facilitate collaboration between affected groups to gain acceptance of the process changes and complete tasks by the due dates.
Configure applicable system changes.
Analyze existing system functionality and business processes in the scope of the business need and design valued, cost-effective solutions that will efficiently function to support the customer requirements.
Validate configuration changes meet the customers’ requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.
Identify and/or enter data needed in the development and test environments to validate configuration changes.
Document system configuration changes.
Perform the role of Release Manager/Champion as needed.
Conduct research on software functionality and changes (User groups, Product Support Documentation/OSS, etc.).
Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full end-to-end business process will function and meet business requirements within the project scope.
Learn and promote Teamcenter usability standard methodologies. Examples are Revision Control, Change Management, Workflow, RAC, AWC.
Champion system testing.
Build, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, security, etc.).
Perform the role of Tester or Test Manager as needed.
Manage Issue Analysis to confirm defects.
Confirm system functionalities in the production environment.
Provide mentoring and support of software deployments.
Collaborate with the implementation team to provide early life support for the initiative, taking ownership for transitioning all appropriate information to teams responsible for long term system health and supportability.
Support service management.
Collaborate with Operations Managers to define and document Accountable, Responsible, Consulted, Informed (ARCI) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) models.
Champion system support documentation quality.
Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes and operational procedures.
Participate in the service assessment by crafting metric catalog entries, reviewing data compliance, and defining standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field with two years of experience.
