Overview of what we do:

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a fast-growing Career Field that offers many types of IAM jobs to interested and qualified candidates who love to solve some of today’s evolving information security risks. Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a crucial aspect of Cybersecurity which ensures that the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time. The IAM team focus on a set of business processes and technologies that support the creation, maintenance, and deactivation of a digital identity and related access rights.

The successful candidate will work primarily within the LAN team specializing in the provisioning and de-provisioning of network access, using the Active Directory tool as the authentication method in acquiring access rights. Active Directory is used to control access to LAN shares, network resources and applications that support AD based access control.

Responsibilities/tasks:

As an Identity and Access Management Intern you will be tasked with participating in the below:

• Executing user access provisioning and de-provisioning activities natively across multiple platforms (Active Directory, Outlook, ACF & RACF mainframe, Unix, SAP) for Sun Life staff to Sun Life systems
• Specializing in provisioning and de-provisioning of network access via Active Directory Groups
• Creation\Deletion and management of Non-Primary AD Accounts (e.g. Secondary\Privileged\Functional IDs)
• Creation\Deletion and Management of Active Directory Groups
• Troubleshooting and resolving access related issues
• Collaborating with other IAM teams (IAM Access Governance, IAM Operations, IAM Privileged Access Management)
• Ensuring compliance with established SLAs
• Enforcing standards from Sun Life’s Logical Access Security Directive as it applies to user and logical access
