JOB SUMMARY

Picks copper off moving conveyor, cleans around mill , assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts and greasing. Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site as not assessable by transit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeps work area clean and ready to go daily
• Keeps conveyor pulleys clean
• Picks only copper to ensure that quality material is shipped to our customers
• Reports any issues that arise immediately 
• Assists shredder mechanics during projects
• Assists in meeting monthly production goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of High School and/or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Ability to push, pull and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for up to 8 hours, regular walking, squatting and climbing
• Ability to learn and follow direction
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
• Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently, work safely and making sure everyone around him are working safely
• Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
