Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking to hire a Principal Equipment Maintenance Technician to sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. This technician position is an hourly shift position on Days in our Novellus area, working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. This role is eligible for up to a $5,000 sign on bonus!!!

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor, control, and qualify 200 mm semiconductor equipment
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance activities
  • React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
  • Process wafers using defined procedures
  • Perform visual inspections (quality check)
  • Recover from process and tool interruptions
  • Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
  • Complete all required reporting and documentation
  • Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development
  • Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, and other duties as assigned

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - 2-Year Associates Degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical/Electrical) or an additional 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience – 5-10 years' Experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, or related experience
  • Language Fluency – Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal
  • Physical Capacity Demands – 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Nights or Days), wearing cleanroom suit / Personal Protective Equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance.

Expected Salary Range

$52,500.00 - $107,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
