About the role

This position is in specific for senior level , quality assurance role in ecommerce platform.The eBusiness organization enables a world class eCommerce platform for NortonLifelock across B2C to drive revenue growth and a memorable customer experience. The eCommerce ecosystem operates on a global scale, generating over $2Billion in annual revenue, and supporting over huge numbers in daily transactions. It fosters strategic business relationships and has the overall responsibility for ensuring that its roadmap consists of high-value technology projects and services that support financial and strategic company business objectives and priorities focused on eCommerce.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Develop Test Strategy, Design Test Plan and Test Cases effectively/independently.

• Writes robust automated tests for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers.

• Design and Implement automated tests for functional, system, integration testing.

• Perform Test Execution and Report defects.

• Participate actively in the defect resolution and retest process.

• Find and help fix bugs and stability/scalability issues in a time critical environment.

• Work closely with Product Owners and Business stakeholders to continually refine software test requirements and provide feedback on user scenarios.

• Work iteratively with team members to clarify functional requirements, determine testing and test automation requirements, and provide feedback on design solutions (functional and technical).

• Contributes to Feature enhancements, impact assessments on system level interactions, and existing automated test suites.

• Contributes to improvements in unit testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, expand automated testing harness and automate scenarios/cases.

• Other responsibilities include doing bug analysis, analysing development and testing impacts, writing test tools and identifying automation opportunities.

• Evaluate and use appropriate open source test framework, tools for improving productivity and product quality.

• Demonstrate Sense of Ownership and ensure deliver quality feature E2E of a module/Component.

• Prefer strong understanding of the  eCommerce ecosystem.

• Fast learner who can contribute from day one.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

• 9+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in Java programming and microservices architecture.

• Strong experience in automation testing tools preferably Selenium.

• Experience in testing using Business Driven Development (BDD) preferably Cucumber.

• Solid experience in testing and automating SOAP & REST services using SOAP UI & Postman or relevant tools.

• Experience in SQL database preferably Oracle.

• Experience in one or more of the following: Perl, Python, Shell scripting is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

• Good to have experience testing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.

• Good to have experience in e-commerce environment
