Here, you’ll be part of a team that ensures the systems relied upon by millions of Australians every day are performing the best they possibly can.

 

You will be creating well engineered, scalable, and reliable tests whilst contributing to the build of services and tools that enable DevOps and testing by teams. Through your utilisation of the standardised metrics and reporting you will provide testing and quality insights to our stakeholders. You will also perform basic maintenance and monitoring of non-production environments whilst bringing your understanding of the cloud infrastructure environment to the forefront. 

 

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Have solid hands-on software development background and experience using C#, or JavaScript, and .NET

  • Are knowledgeable in what needs to be included in unit, integration, and end to end tests including automation testing.

  • Pride themselves in developing and rollout test harnesses, frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD and code quality

  • Have solid hands-on experience engineering secure and reliable software and improving software systems with comprehensive test coverage.

  • Are team players and happy to take the time to perform peer design/ code reviews applying software reuse principles and developing creative solutions to debt management

  • Are confident demonstrating coding, design, debugging and problem-solving skills

 

Tech skills

 

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

  • C#, Java, NodeJS, Javascript, Python, SQL, shell scripting, Playwright, Rest API and WebAPI

  • DB knowledge 

  • Kubernetes, Docker

  • GitHub, TeamCity

  • Understanding of monitoring tools and CI/CD pipeline

  • AWS Code Pipeline, Azure DevOps

  • Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Pact

  • Selenium, Specflow, JMeter, Appium, TestNG, jUnit, nUnit, Cucumber, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Blazemeter, Maven

  • AppDynamics and Splunk

  • JIRA, Agile Requirements Designer
