The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

The Product Change Management (PCM) Specialist supports global, regional, and local product change activities for internal and external sites and contract manufacturers.  Activities include new product launches, discontinuations and global network strategies such as serialization, integration to Viatris, GTIN, as well as the activities associated with the creation, approval, communication and implementation of new or revised artwork for contract manufactured products as well as for internal Viatris sites.  The PCM Specialist also provides oversight of Master Data (MD) change for NPL and projects that imply product code change, whereas the actual change is performed by the relevant MD teams.

Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.

  • Above site support of global and local product change activities such as new product launches (NPL), Artwork changes, discontinuations, serialization, and GTIN along with activities associated with the creation, approval, communication and implementation of new or revised artwork for contract manufactured products and Viatris sites.
  • Provide supply chain operational support related to changes and activities impacting global MSA transfers, tech transfers, and other workstreams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, extrapolate, interpret, and organize complex sets of data to issue reports and presentations which support decision making, project prioritization and communication of strategies to leadership.
  • Proactively and continuously support product change activities (new launches, line extensions, Artwork changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc.) securing achievement of business objectives, service levels, costs and working capital requirements Coordinate the initial request for product setup / overseeing the Master Data (MD) is being setup.
  • Act as a central point for communication between supply chain and Artwork Teams/markets, the contract manufacturers, for all tasks and issues related to artwork changes and new artwork development.
  • Establish and maintain a tracker with all on-going artwork changes available to key stakeholders. 
  • Serve as an escalation point for the resolution of constraints, risks, impacts, and mitigation.  Coordinate and communicate with all impacted upstream/downstream sites, market quality, regulatory colleagues as well as other project team leads for status updates so that contingency and mitigation plans are effectively managed for the given project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About Your Skills & Experience 

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 

  • Experience with regulatory, market quality, and/or external supply is preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or related technical disciple and 2 years of experience in a GxP setting required.  2 years of pharmaceutical Supply Chain experience and project coordination experience strongly preferred.  However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 
  • Has a strong broad GMP and technical know-how to handle emerging issues
  • Advanced computer skills, MS Office and enterprise systems such as SAP, Rapid Response, and Trackwise
  • Command of English language required, and multi-lingual is beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication including presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, to act and work independently and to report risks as required
  • Able to work in diverse multi-level, cross-divisional and multi-cultural working environment
  • Operates with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems dynamically
  • Takes initiatives and is proactive, persistent
