We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee revenue recognition and the accounts receivable and payable functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service mindset, analytical skills, attention to detail, and applicable experience with revenue recognition and AR and AP processes. This role requires effective leadership abilities to manage an internal team, coordinate external support partners, and influence cross-functional team members to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, operating procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze transactions to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition according to GAAP.

  • Apply accounting policies and procedures for various revenue streams.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed accounting records for revenue recognition.

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce delinquencies.

  • Analyze customer accounts and implement effective credit and collection strategies.

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, disbursements, and statement reconciliations.

  • Manage timely and accurate vendor disbursements in coordination with the Treasury function and in alignment with working capital targets.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to resolve issues promptly.

  • Stay abreast of changes in US GAAP and related laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk and transactional friction.

  • Liaise with internal operations and outside advisors, external auditors, and tax authorities during audits and inquiries.

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to revenue, collections, accruals, reserves and other assigned accounts for management review.

  • Work with and support a US team of four in day-to-day activities and special projects in addition to coordinating work with international team members managing similar functions.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, providing support and fostering their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • Proven experience and leadership in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role, managing staff

  • Applied knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and functional operations of A/R and A/P.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and other systems: Epicor, Concur AP, Blackline, and Avalara a plus but not required.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
