Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Products & Analytics Group within Enterprise Excellence is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Data Quality (DQ) Analyst to supplement the data quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data across various products and databases. The analyst will develop understanding of the underlying data pipeline, perform data validation, data integrity checks, report and collaborate with the broader team for identifying and resolving the DQ issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with data quality leads and business analysts to understand data requirements and business rules.
  • Understand the existing DQ rules, execute them, and develop new rules and test scripts for data quality assurance.
  • Perform manual testing to verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various databases & applications.
  • Identify, document & track data quality issues; provide reports on test progress, test results and the data quality metrics.
  • Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Support digitizing the data efficiently for facilitating automation of data quality framework.
  • Suggest improvements to data quality testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in Manual Data Quality Testing & Reporting.
    • Experience with SQL, data querying and Excel- for data validation, testing & reporting.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing, data integration, and ETL processes.
  • Skills:
    • Attention to detail and a firm commitment to data accuracy.
    • Proactive, end to end ownership and delivery of the assigned tasks.
    • Good analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
    • Proficiency in using issue tracking tools such as JIRA, for documenting & tracking issues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve the goals.
    • Advanced Excel and Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Data Quality frameworks and best practices is also a plus.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Data Science, or a related field.
