Job Summary:

Typically, expect significant professional experience in area of specialty. Is typically independently directed. Has expert knowledge of areas of specialty and applies to everyday situations. Typically, an individual contributor and, in rare circumstances, may supervise the overall efforts of an assigned team; works with occasional guidance or direct supervision. Guides sales and service teams on recommended markets and to gather additional information/supplemental applications required to obtain quotations or works directly with clients to obtain the information necessary to obtain and recommend appropriate coverage. Evaluates client needs, establishes and recommends appropriate coverages on new submissions, prepares proposals in accordance with those recommendations. Recommend to sales and service teams the best placement and terms for renewing accounts. Follow-up with carriers so that new and renewal quotes are delivered on a timely basis; negotiate with savvy and determination to get the best coverage/pricing/add-ons available to a client. Provide technical support to sales; specifically in analyzing client needs, may attend client and prospective client meetings. Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages and risk management mitigation techniques in coordination with sales. Required to have the necessary insurance license(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Work on new business as received from Producers or by taking information directly from the referred client by phone.

  • Handle new business from beginning till end setting up for assigned Account Executive once completed.

  • Quote renewal remarketing off questionnaires submitted by Account Executive with the AE processing final changes and handling any follow ups.

  • Review quotes for accuracy and provide side by side comparisons as well as additional coverage recommendations where applicable.

  • Maintain complete and accurate client and policy information within our management system.

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Direct Marketing/Quoting Experience (preferably full marketing experience not Account Executive that does marketing)

  • Property and Casualty broker’s license

  • Applied EPIC a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented, highly organized able to meet deadlines and multi-task

  • Customer service oriented with strong problem-solving ability

Working knowledge of:

  • High-Net-Worth carriers such as Chubb, AIG, Pure & Cincinnati

  • Major standard markets such as Travelers, Safeco, Hartford, Hanover etc.

  • Excess Markets including ability to read an excess proposal and spot limitations and/or missing coverages

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
