Position Summary

Position assists department with research, organization, preparation and record maintenance of special projects for the department.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Researches information, assembles material and prepares special projects.
  • Organizes and maintains department asset inventory and special projects records.
  • Types correspondence and distributes department mail.
  • Processes work orders, approves purchases and enters blanket purchase orders, acting as departmental purchasing assistant.
  • Monitors department supply inventory and costs.
  • Acts as a backup for clerical staff.
  • Assists with training of new staff.
  • Assists manager\administrative assistant with department procedures and policies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of computers and general office.
  • Good organizational and working communication skills.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification, two years college or business school preferred. Three years experience in business or medical setting.

G06-H

Salary Range

$17.87 - $27.06 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
