Job Description:
The Manager, Total Rewards plays a key role in shaping total rewards strategy, administering compensation programs, and providing guidance to leadership on benefits, compensation and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the in-house expert on total compensation and benefit plans for the Company. Educate leaders at all levels of the organization on compensation philosophy, components of total compensation, and best practices in total rewards design and administration.
- Maintains strong understanding of goals and priorities of the organization and craft competitive individualized compensation packages that align with those goals. Provide guidance to the Compensation Analyst on store management and hourly programs and address escalated compensation matters as needed.
- Ensures that all Health & Welfare plans are administered in compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations. Responsible for the reconciliation of benefit accounts and billing process.
- Leads annual and ad hoc range analysis for all company positions. Identify areas of opportunity in base range structures and recommend adjustments to salary ranges and/or individual base salaries as needed.
- Monitors industry compensation and benefit trends and recommend adjustments to compensation structures and benefit packages as needed.
- Maintains responsibility for designing, analyzing, and paying all bonuses for all levels of the organization. Build models to understand effect of various design options on payout percentages, accounting considerations, financial impact, and compliance. Ensure all programs comply with internal policies and legal requirements and support the organization’s goals.
- Leads ongoing performance management initiatives and the annual merit increase and goal setting process.
- Plays a key role in the annual executive compensation SEC reporting, including gathering information, drafting CD&A components, and verifying data.
- Ensures Dave & Buster’s stays in compliance with federal and state wage & hour laws by monitoring, interpreting, and implementing updates. Act as the main consultant for the HR Department and store management teams on matters such as FLSA compliance, state overtime requirements, minimum wage and tipped minimum wage, tipping policies, vacation payouts, and employment of minors. Manages weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits of key compliance indicators (including, but not limited to, breaks, child labor laws, sick leave, wage & hour matters, and internal D&B policies).
- Develops and maintains relationships with operations and other departments in order to effectively participate in cross-functional efforts. Maintains a strong working knowledge of various systems in order to run standard and ad hoc reports, conduct thorough research, and troubleshoot issues. Drafts policies and procedures as requested, ensuring adherence to Dave & Buster’s standards.
- Leads Total Rewards initiatives, including updates to the Workday system and vendor implementations, and manage the Advanced Compensation Module within Workday, ensuring data integrity.
- Collects and analyzes data from internal and external sources to inform workforce-related decisions.
- Monitors and tracks key HR metrics (e.g., employee engagement, diversity, hiring trends, and retention), collaborating with HR and business leaders to forecast workforce needs and support recruitment, workforce distribution, and skills development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Compensation role; a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and strong skills in other MS Office products are required. Experience working with Workday system is preferred.
