Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)  

 

Are you energized by a highly visible finance role that allows you to influence senior stakeholders and shape highly effective business partnerships? If so, the Finance Business Partner role in Switzerland could be an excellent opportunity to explore.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who takes a proactive approach in driving the business agenda and solving complex questions. As a Commercial Finance Partner, you will be directly involved in business performance, driving the strategic business plan, and supporting decision-making with critical business insights. Your mission is to be a real business partner to the team, providing a strong voice in decisionmaking processes.

  

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy, Business Planning, and Performance Management:

  • Contribute to the performance management and analysis of business results, through deep market understanding (Sales, SG&A, Profit, Headcount, Working Capital…).
  • Full P&L accountability for business units supported.
  • Drive the financial plan: assist the business in budget preparation including strategic resource allocation, performance analysis, and proactive identification of Risks & Opportunities
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and lead modeling for new asset launches.

Core Commercial Cycle:

  • Drive the sales forecast for supported BUs, in collaboration with Supply Chain and Marketing teams, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Understand market growth, market share, and other performance factors

Pricing Optimization and Market Dynamics:

  • Partner with Market Access team to support pricing planning, and provide recommendations to FD and GM for pricing decisions.

ROI, Margin & Cashflow Enhancement :

  • Lead financial modelling to support the business in making investment decisions when opportunities arise
  • Use internal and external benchmarking for best-in-class cost management.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage BU expenses.

Financial Mastery and Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrate technical and financial mastery, business acumen, and analytical capabilities.
  • Support the development of a strong finance partnering organization through teamwork and cross-functional management.

Management Presentations:

  • Lead and assist Finance Director and Leadership Team with management presentations, showcasing critical insights and recommendations

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business (or different degrees with Business or Finance qualification)
  • several years financial support experience, preferably with Pharmaceutical Industry experience
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical Industry, previous international exposure and commercial finance experience
  • Ability to clearly presenting insights and complex business and financial information in a simple and compelling way to non-finance audiences
  • Excellent influencing and engagement. Ability to engage senior stakeholders and challenge based on expertise and personal credibility
  • Fluent English

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills 

  • German and French would be beneficial
  • Experience of working in matrix organizations and complex change management projects.
