As a Capital Purchasing Coordinator at the Mask Technology Center, you will be the primary interface for developing and implementing Micron’s photomask manufacturing capital roadmap. You will be working with worldwide capital suppliers to ensure performance standards for existing equipment is met as well as ensuring steady communication and understanding of next generation of equipment technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work alongside the photomask process, equipment, manufacturing, and industrial engineering teams to determine required capital equipment timing, vendors, models, and quantities.
  • Collect key information from suppliers such as facilities requirements, layout drawings, and budgetary quotes.
  • Coordinate decision analysis and statement of work (SOW) documentation to support capital equipment purchase justifications.
  • Complete capital budgeting cycles in Micron’s internal CALM software system.
  • Implement software budgeting and coordination of requirements and licenses.
  • Collect data and present quarterly business reviews (QBR) to each key capital supplier to ensure performance feedback is given at regular intervals.
  • Issue supplier quality notices (SQN) when significant issues arise. Coordinate follow-up meetings.
  • Call out tool down situations with suppliers.
  • Arrange technology roadmap meetings (TRM) with key suppliers on a regular cadence.
  • Connect, communicate, and train with the broader Micron procurement organization to ensure consistent supplier messaging.
  • Annually work with external auditors to physically verify the presence of capital equipment assets.
  • Coordinate non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and occasional joint development and master supply agreements (JDA/MSA) for the Mask Technology Center.
  • Communicate mask capital purchasing strategy for the bi-annual equipment strategy leadership team (ESLT).
  • Arrange new capital equipment transport and delivery, coordinated with Micron facilities and logistics.
  • Collaborate with Micron finance and planning regarding budgets and cashflow.
  • Collaborate with global procurement to negotiate and issue purchase orders for mask tool service contracts to ensure equipment productivity targets are maintained.
  • Ensure Micron’s supplier on-boarding process is executed for all potential new capital suppliers.

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • At least 5 years of engineering or procurement experience.
  • Proven understanding of photomask manufacturing process.
  • ​Effective project management with outstanding customer focus.
  • Effective communication at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Presentation skills regarding professional slide deck preparation and both in-person and remote verbal presentation of strategic content.
  • Preferred demonstrated knowledge of Micron’s business
  • Voracious learner and educator.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or business fields.
