Job Description

Position Summary: 

Data Engineer Intern working in teams of software and data professionals, alongside Semiconductor Product Engineers. The Data Engineer Intern will develop algorithmic approaches to derive valuable business and technical insights from data. Project focus areas may include performance analytics, fault detection/classification, process enhancement, and model-based predictive controls. An experienced Data Engineer as a mentor will be provided.  

 

This internship is payrolled via payroll process provider. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Project work supporting the lifecycle of model development and deployment 

  • Building data visualizations and presentation materials communicating findings 

  • May perform other duties, as needed, to assist the data team 

 

Requirements:  

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM degree 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in expert systems, traditional ML, Deep Learning, and GenAI techniques 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in coding and libraries relevant to Data Science analysis. Python or Matlab preferred 

  • Demonstrated proficiency building visualizations using code and BI tools 

  • Ability to interface with data in database and data lake formats 

  • Ability to use IDE and Git version control 

  • Proficiency developing in Windows and Linux environments 

  • ML Ops experience preferred 

  • Familiarity with robotics control systems and maintenance preferred 

  • Familiarity with industrial productivity concepts preferred 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
