General Description:
The Development Lead is tasked to lead automation development by managing delivery teams throughout the automation journey. The Development Lead will oversee development work and act as an interface for stakeholder management for the Americas Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as an interface for stakeholder management (escalations) where appropriate.
Collaborate with Business Analyst, Developer, Auditor/Tester, Solution Architect, Process owners and other stakeholders to standardize requirements and technical specifications.
Get involved with local teams and operations to provide technical support for the implementation or development of any technology.
Automation Project Planning and management.
Oversees all implementation/process development activities by dev pods, as directed by the CoE Lead.
Define clear requirements to achieve goals with ROI, Investment cost, scalable solutions, etc. Establish clear milestones and success criteria.
Manages resource allocation to staff automation opportunities.
Automation Lifecycle Management.
Lead a team of developers and auditor/tester to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves technical issues and risks affecting delivery.
Drives the implementation of current application development methodologies as directed by the Solution Architect.
Ensure that code changes are integrated and deployed to production environments in a timely and reliable manner.
Review and optimize existing workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Build and maintain RPA processes with UiPath.
Technical guidance and Team Leadership.
Provide Technical guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them grow and develop their skills.
Make recommendations on technology selection, tooling, and implementation strategies.
Documentation.
Document processes and libraries build (requirement gathering, design documentation, code documentation, test, deployment, user, security, maintenance and change management documentation).
Ensure that project documentation, including design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications, is accurate, up to date and accessible to the team.
Ensure up to date lifecycle automation development within Automation Hub.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization.
Monitor KPIs related to automation lifecycle management.
Monitor the performance of the automations deployed, from initial development to retirement.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in RPA technology and new technologies, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
Governance Compliance.
Adhere to company development and version control standards. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Postgraduate degree – Desirable.
UiPath Automation Developer Professional – Desirable.
Previous Work Experience
3+ years of Development and Support Experience in a Senior role, experience in automation development using UiPath.
1-2 years of leading RPA Development and Support.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Language: Spanish & English intermediate to advanced, Portuguese Desirable.
Must have:
Extensive experience leading and managing high performing teams.
Extensive experience with enterprise-wide business process improvement initiatives.
Experience with agile development and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Possesses strong communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions, balancing technical considerations with business objectives.
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Expertise with the entirety UiPath Automation Cloud suite.
Experience with cross-regional teams.
