  • Salary Teacher Level 2.2 - 5 + Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

  • Based at the Melbourne City campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University or other locations. 

About the Position
As a VE Teacher, you play a vital role in delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising their progress in selected courses. Your active participation in the ongoing reviews of course content, teaching methods, and student assessment is essential in maintaining high standards. Additionally, your engagement with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching, and administration staff is crucial for creating strong partnerships.

Experience in networking and cyber security teaching/industry is required. 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.

  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.

  • Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

  • Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge.

  • Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.

  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment is desirable however not mandatory.
