Department Overview:    

The Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) function is responsible for providing risk management and oversight so that our AML/FCRM function and TD's businesses have adequately considered, managed, and mitigated the risks in day-to-day activities, operations, products, and services, and are operating within risk appetite and aligned to the enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Description                As a member of the Financial Crime Risk Management team, you will work with relevant stakeholders across the FCRM function, the broader Risk Management function, and other relevant stakeholders as required to manage and fulfill all regulatory requests, commitments, and deliverables on a timely basis. You will lead a highly complex governance function which serves as the intake for all Canadian regulatory requests.             

Reporting to the VP, FCRM Risk and Business Control Programs (interim), your primary accountabilities include but are not limited to the following: 
 

  • Accountable to ensure timely delivery of all regulatory deliverables and commitments
  • Facilitate the quality assurance review of regulatory deliverables with the appropriate subject matter experts
  • Maintain a tracker and calendar of regulatory deliverables
  • Design and maintain regular reporting on regulatory deliverable statuses, milestones, and associated issues/challenges for the CAMLO and VP, Financial crimes risk management
  • Participate in all regulatory meetings to monitor asks and take aways
  • Prepare detailed presentations and materials for all regulatory meetings
  • Prepare ad hoc presentations at the request of the CAMLO and VP, Financial Crimes Risk Management
  • Partner with other bank wide stakeholders (Compliance, Regulatory Risk) to manage regulatory requests
  • Oversee and lead a highly complex, and/or diverse function for an area of significant risk, or scope
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of professional resources through talent acquisition, coaching/development, and recognition; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees

Job Requirements:

You're a confident professional and an articulate communicator (written and oral) who can serve as a 'point person' for the management of regulatory reporting activities, and possesses the following:

  • Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or 10+ years relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of Canadian AML regulatory requirements
  • Experience with governance, regulatory compliance risk and compliance
  • Experience in regulatory interaction
  • Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills, and analytical skills, including data analysis and sound judgment.
  • Ability to organize and present complex information/concepts in a persuasive manner, tailored to the audience
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to take lead on projects and initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to engage productively both internally and externally, and to collaborate with multifunctional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a high attention to detail
