OVERVIEW:

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting clearance optimization efforts across all banners of business. This role's primary concentration will incorporate daily analysis of clearance strategies and inventory processes as well as providing analytic support to key clearance initiatives. The candidate will provide support and analysis for but not limited to optimizing store clearance inventory levels, maximizing the effectiveness of clearance strategies across banners of business and driving inventory productivity across all channels.

Support company clearance forecasting, analysis, and reporting efforts to provide consistent visibility of performance, risks and opportunities


• Assist in the development, implementation and execution of business strategies that support sales and margin growth, all while maximizing clearance inventory productivity


• Identify and surface business risks (Sales/GM/Inv) throughout the course of a season and make recommendations to proactively manage issues.


• Develop and maintain standardized reports providing consistent visibility on clearance performance across DICK’S stores and all banners of clearance business

Lead analysis to support clearance inventory optimization initiatives across all channels of business


• Analyze and diagnose over-inventoried stores


• Provide analysis on store and category level opportunities for inventory optimization


• Evaluate clearance, aging, and other slow selling products by category and develop business rules to drive performance improvements


• Provide ad hoc analytical support on cross functional projects as business needs dictate

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree - Business, Strategy, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain

5 - 7 Years of Experience - Retail, Merchandising, Merch Planning/Allocations, Real Estate or Market Research
