The Product Owner is a very detailed-oriented individual who serves as an interface between the business and technology organizations. The Product Owner’s primary focus is on working with internal and external users and stakeholders on understanding product needs and maintenance requirements. The PO translates those requirements into well-defined features and user stories for the development team. The PO is responsible for the delivery of project as per committed timelines and scope. The PO ensures the product quality and performance meets the expectations of the user base. The PO doesn’t take the status quo as a given and challenges and encourages innovation in both products and processes. He/She works closely with other PO’s, Product Managers, Product Architect and other product-related stakeholders to ensure that requirements and scope are aligned to the product’s strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with users, business stakeholders, Product Managers, UX Designers and Product Architects to feed new features to the product(s) roadmap and the product backlog
  • Workflow and document ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes and perform gap analysis that results in detailed user requirements. Look for areas of waste/opportunity to automate
  • Lead the development teams in refining the acceptance criteria related to new requirements
  • Organize and prioritize the product(s) backlog of requirements, technical debt, bugs and standard maintenance in a way that will deliver the key milestones identified on the roadmap in the committed timelines
  • Actively participate in all related Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, backlog management, prioritization, demos, retrospectives and others
  • Lead the end-of-sprint product demonstrations that showcase the new features the product(s) is delivering
  • Work with the team(s) Scrum Master to manage projects by tracking and monitoring progress, risks and issues
  • Report on status and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful completion of requirements. Escalate issues and potential missed timelines/scope as necessary
  • Maintain and distribute release notes to users, stakeholders and other interested parties
  • Maintain robust product and technical documentation and support other members in the creation of training, change management and marketing materials related to the product(s)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related discipline or equivalent experience is required
  • 3+ years previous experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role is required
  • Previous transportation experience is desired
  • Salesforce Experience is required
  • Salesforce Product Experience is required
  • Strong leadership and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and very strong attention to detail
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to make decisions and priority calls based on currently available information
  • Ability to successfully work in teams and good conflict resolution skills
  • Positive attitude, innovation and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, Confluence, Microsoft Office and other role-specific tools
  • Ability to run data queries to produce product related KPI reporting and metrics
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to constantly changing industry and company requirements
  • Ability to learn and understand technical concepts and tools necessary for their specific job duties
  • Time management skills and proven ability to work on time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Oral and written communication skills are critical.
