About the Role
As an Associate Manager at FindLaw, your responsibilities are to:
Manage engineers locally and across the globe to have a culture of belonging to the team, as well as individually setting goals, sharing performance feedback, providing career coaching, and hiring as needed.
Lead agile project teams to collect, prioritize, refine, plan, improve, and deliver committed features each release.
Display accountability to customers for the quality of deliverables, privacy of data, security of solutions, and urgency for the health of Production applications.
Champion engineering standards and best practices to be applied consistently.
Provide technical leadership to guide key software designs, and ensure non-functional requirements are baked-into everything we deliver as part of a DevOps mindset.
Build relationships with partners and stakeholders to gain trust, align expectations, and better understand or even predict customer needs.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders by showing good listening skills, clearly capturing others’ ideas, and sharing complex technical topics in simple terms.
Collaborate with others to share information, recognize the value of diverse ideas, and deliver results across organizational boundaries.
Share innovative ideas that leverage the latest industry trends like Artificial Intelligence to address business needs and provide customer value.
Adapt and adjust to the dynamic nature of the digital marketing business.
About You
You are a good fit for this Associate Manager role if you have:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
6+ years professional software engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
2+ years team and agile project leadership experience.
Experience with one or more of the following: Java or .NET, SQL, React or Angular
Experience coaching and growing engineers.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Collaboration and communication skills that adapt to the audience, message, and medium.
Worked with product owners to translate ideas into solutions, then prioritize and negotiate scope within a budget.
Proven the ability to create, share status, and successfully deliver on a project plan.
Familiarity with one or more of the following: AWS, AI/LLM, Web UI, RESTful APIs, WordPress, and CDN.
Knowledge of CI/CD, release processes, and familiarity with tools like IaC, and GitHub Actions.
Experience with support and maintenance activities, including operations and vendor partners.
Well-informed of automated software quality assurance best practices and tools.
Experience with public-facing enterprise applications.
