Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$99,500.00 - $164,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Investigative Services provides industry-first resources designed to detect and deter fraudulent claims. Using some of the most comprehensive technology available, we have the abilities and expertise to identify potential risks and combat fraudulent practices. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing a regional Traveler's Investigative Services (TIS) staff to achieve regional results. Provides guidance and direction to direct reports through management involvement and file review. Selects, leads, mentors, performance manages and develops staff. This job manages a staff of up to 12 employees who may be remote.

What Will You Do?

  • Accountable for office and regional results (referral rate, efficiency rate, billable hours, allocated and unallocated expenses, etc.).
  • Develops and executes all office and regional communication strategies in support of claim initiatives and programs.
  • Accountable for evaluations and investigations of all fraud claims; analyzes results to determine their impact.
  • Establishes staffing strategy and plan for the region based on forecasting needs from trend in claim notices of office.
  • Identifies, recruits, interviews, hires, orientates, deploys and re-deploys a diverse staff to maximize office and regional efficiency and performance.
  • Researches/analyzes industry trends and best practices in the office or region and applies them to achieve or maximize results.
  • Builds relationship with Claim managers and other business partners to assure that service center priorities are being identified and addressed.
  • Assists Service Center management with identification and analysis of training needs and ensures training is provided.
  • Markets TIS services to business partners within and outside of Claim.
  • Recognizes and develops effective plans to address subrogation and salvage recovery potential.
  • Ensures that investigators establish and maintain effective relationship with local/state/federal law enforcement personnel, national insurance crime bureau and local fraud agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Specific to Prosecution Team:
  • Develops and executes the business strategy for the Prosecution Unit.
  • Partners with NICB and other Industry Groups to provide education, resources and support to law enforcement and prosecutors. Partners with internal teams to package future prosecutions in the major case area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelors Degree and/or 4 years of law enforcement experience or claim experience required.
  • Computer literate; database and Internet proficient required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
