PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plans and supervises the work of staff engaged on both the air and ground side of operations and/or maintenance of the WFF Airfield. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of the airfield and assigned projects. Coordinates airport activities with construction, maintenance, and other work done by staff, tenants, and contractors. Provides on-site supervision during airfield emergency and severe weather situations in the absence of the Government Airfield Manager. Assists in the coordination of and response to all emergency situations IAW the Airfield Mishap Plan as needed. Must be able to oversee Airfield transit line services. Must be able to coordinate FAA flight checks and MOVLAS/IFLOLS certifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee and assist with airfield fueling services to include day to day operation of tank farm/fuel and fuel truck and fueling equipment, compliance to regulatory and NASA specifications, receipt and dispensing fuel, continuous quality assurance monitoring and testing, planning and the overseeing of the into-plane fueling operations and fueling service.

  • Ensures airport compliance with the Airfield Operations Manual, Airfield FOD Prevention Program, Airfield Driver Training Program as well as FAA ACs and the NPR 7900.3.

  • Conducts multiple daily inspections to include runways, taxiways, safety areas, ramp areas, and perimeter fence line for aesthetics, safety, security, and general conditions; take appropriate action when necessary to correct unsuitable conditions and ensure a safe airfield environment.

  • Airfield FOD and HAZMAT Program

  • Responsible for Airfield AGSE program

  • Airfield Transit line services including potential aircraft towing.

  • Performs maintenance on aircraft, including avionic and mechanical aircraft systems/sub-systems

  • Support fuel servicing program by becoming proficient and data entry into Total Aviation Software (TAS)

  • Operate FOD Boss vehicle for runway and flightline area sweeps on a regular basis.

  • Responsible for maintenance and testing of Arresting Gear for runway operations.

  • Coordinate FAA flight check and MOVLAS/IFLOLS certifications.

  • Provide NOTAM backup for AAOM

  • Provide PPR backup for AAOM

  • Provide and assist AAOM with airfield scheduling as well as project support

  • Represent the Airfield at project meetings and work with the AAOM on schedule deconfliction

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledgeable in the use of and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of diagnostic devices, computers, hand, and mechanical tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.

  • Ability to follow a process.

  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.

  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Solutions, LLC goals.

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to write and review policies and procedures in support of Airfield Operations alongside the AAOM.

JOB RQUIREMENTS:

  • May require a BS degree and 4 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in like or similar role managing an airfield.

  • Familiar and experienced with a variety of airfield concepts, practices, and procedures required to help forecast and facilitate the needs and expectations of NASA, DOD and commercial customers.

  • Obtain and keep CM certification through AAAE

  • Ability to obtain or have a current CDL license with hazmat endorsement.
