Team Summary:

The incumbent will become an integral member of the Analytics and Attribution team within the Global Investment Performance & Analysis Department at T. Rowe Price. This team is responsible for producing, validating, and distributing return, attribution, and analytic calculations for the suite of products T. Rowe Price offers.

Role Summary:

Provides technical and subject matter expertise over Fixed Income related processes and platforms. Ensures the accuracy of performance return and attribution data generated by Fixed Income Attribution platforms. Participates in strategic fixed income attribution transformation. Over time would gain expertise to confidently explain performance and attribution results to key stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts and Client Reporting, among others.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the end-to-end process of fixed-income attribution analysis. This includes transaction loading to vendor platform, security mapping, return and attribution reconciliation and interpretation of results. 
  • Analyzes and defines business issues, opportunities, and enhancements and implements solutions to improve reporting processes and technology surrounding our fixed income attribution platform.
  • Utilizes knowledge and broad expertise to recommend and design solutions to complex business problems. Assists with the development and testing of our fixed income attribution platforms.
  • Analyzes and reviews business requirements for complex projects. Leads work to determine feasibility of work and develops and manages project documentation, proposals, and business requirements and makes recommendation to managers and business partners based on findings.
  • Serves as an escalation point for any issues or questions that arise from a systems or business process perspective. Collaboratively manages relationships with affected parties on progress or issues to ensure deadlines and expectations are successfully met.
  • Utilizes sound business judgment, technical knowledge, and project management experience to navigate institutional business lines, exercising influence and persuasion where appropriate.
  • Communicates with investment staff and stakeholders to explain attribution results and ensure models align with portfolio management.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of fixed income securities, characteristics, attribution models and sources of return across the universe of fixed income strategies (Securitized, Credit, Municipal, Currency, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Bloomberg PORT, FactSet, or a comparable system used for attribution analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced technical skills with Excel
  • Intermediate skills with SQL and relational databases
  • Interest in or working towards completion of CIPM, CFA or other related professional designation.

FINRA Requirements:

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility: 

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$94,500.00 - $162,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$83,500.00 - $142,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$75,500.00 - $129,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and All other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the roleBase salary is only one component of our total compensation packageEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
