Job Description Qualifications:
The Senior Manager Specialized Infrastructure Global Delivery is responsible for overseeing the Project Management, Program Management Office, and several other specialized infrastructure teams.
This role also entails ensuring the successful delivery of all Specialized Infrastructure products Globally, with a focus on product quality and delivery. Additionally, the Senior Manager Specialized Infrastructure Global Delivery will be responsible for implementing and running the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology across the Specialized Infrastructure Product Teams Globally.
This position requires strong leadership and management skills to effectively engage with direct report staff, as well as business and global IT stakeholders and leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Project Management Function:
- Accountable for the Project Management function globally, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams along with the Business Success team to ensure effective project execution.
2. Program Management Office (PMO) Globally:
- Manage the PMO, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement standardized project management processes, tools, and templates.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the PMO team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
3. Specialized Infrastructure Product Delivery Globally:
- Ensure the successful delivery of Specialized Infrastructure products Globally, with a focus on product quality.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and implement quality standards and processes.
- Monitor product quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and address any barriers to product quality delivery, working closely with stakeholders to resolve issues.
4. SAFe Methodology Implementation:
- Implement and run the SAFe methodology across the Specialized Infrastructure Product Teams Globally.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on SAFe principles and practices. o Facilitate the adoption of SAFe practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of SAFe implementation, making adjustments as needed.
5. Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of direct reports, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. o Engage with business and global IT stakeholders and leadership to understand their needs and priorities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives.
6. Service Operations:
- Responsible and accountable for the implementation and ongoing delivery for a service operations framework and processes Globally
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department in the UK.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to the business. o Monitor service performance metrics and implement improvements Globally.
- Collaborate with other Specialized Infrastructure products to ensure seamless service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in managing a PMO is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAFe methodology and Agile practices.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry is a plus
