Job Summary

Responsibilities include assembling, wiring, and adjusting precision units. May be required to assemble non-standard units. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Job Description

Operate miscellaneous press, drilling, tapping machines, and other fabrication equipment.

Load/unload coil winding machines to include routine changing of wire and/or setup adjustments and settings to produce part according to print specifications.

Solder lead wires to coils using either dip method or solder pens.

Assembles coil windings into motor housings.

Assembly and balancing of armature or outer rotor.

Assembles gear train and output shaft.

Assembles end brackets and housing and fastens assembly with screws, spot weld, or press fitting.

Lubricates gears and other moving parts.

Turns shaft to ensure free movement of parts.

Assembles power cord connectors using terminating machines and assorted hand tools. 

Test each motor according to specifications.

Maintain required records and paperwork as required.

Duties include proper usage and handling of hazardous chemicals/materials and proper disposition under appropriate supervision.

Additional Job Details

2nd shift 4: 0pm - 12:30am

Starting rate $17.07/hr.  Precision Assembler

$1000 sign on bonus after 6 months

Wage increases during 1st year. OT paid after 8 hrs.
