The Alexander McQueen Store Operations Associate will work closely with the Store Operations Manager [Regional or Store level] and Store Manager, supporting to ensure the store is operating efficiently and effectively while staying in line with Company policies and guidelines.
The Store Operations Associate will be able to take the initiative in thinking about what the business needs and successfully support to implement projects, supporting the retail function, ensuring that store locations are maintained to the highest levels and that the brand image is consistently represented by the in-store environment. Taking responsibility for the correct handling of goods in store and care of the product and compliance with KPIs, guidelines and company procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Retail Operations:
Follow the company policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure the store’s compliance
Carries out regular instore checks and audits to ensure store teams are following set policies and procedures
Support the Operations Manager and/or Store Manager on Fire Safety & Health & Safety procedures are in place and followed and with any external parties to ensure required permits or documentation are in order
Supports the setup of in store events to ensure successful execution
Ensure the care and protection of the product according to company guidelines
Ensure that all activities relating to receipt, storage and movement of goods are managed responsibly and in line with company guidelines.
Ensure that the Stock Room is efficiently organised to allow the store team to identify products, optimizing fetch time
Ensure that shop-to-shop and returns transfers are compliant with company guidelines and timeline
Liaises with Loss Prevention and Security on store issues including shrinkage ensuring compliance with guidelines and documentation.
Responsible for supporting to see through the after sales process and ensuring store team and clients are updated by the store team
Ensures that staff uniforms are ordered and distributed in a timely manner
Ensure that Client Advisers are regularly trained and aware of Store organization and the importance of stock care
Store Maintenance
Manages cleaning companies used for store
Support the manager with the management of contractors in store, ensuring a thorough job is completed
Acts on store emergencies to ensure repairs and service are executed in a timely manner
Identifying and escalate operational issues, to Store Operations Manager or Store Manager as needed
Stock & Inventory:
Responsible for conducting inventory counts (cycle counts and physical inventory) and reconciliations across all categories in store including investigation of discrepancies and resolution
Maintaining an accurate stock file through the correct monitoring of product movements (deliveries, transfers, consignments)
Ensure all stock adjustments are processed in a timely manner in line with company guidelines
Regularly monitors consignments and follows up
Support the preparation for markdown and the transition after markdown period
Responsible for managing in store damaged stock.
Maintain an optimized stock room capacity
Where applicable, manage the flow of OMNI orders making sure to guarantee the required service levels.
Responsible for achieving Operation KPI’s and be client minded supporting the overall store performance
Maintain regular communication and collaboration with relevant functions i.e. Inventory control, Retail Operations and within the Store team and across store network.
Logistics & Supplies
Ensure the store is adequately stocked with all operating supplies including packaging and stationery and systems are accurately reflected
Coordinate suppliers and couriers to ensure most efficient and cost-effective service is in place
Team Collaboration
Consistently provide highest level of professionalism in all behaviours including communication and team work in line with the House Code of Behaviours
Work well within your team and within the retail network and actively support and assist your colleagues.
Support the on-boarding of new team members ensuring they receive sufficient information about store operations policies and guidelines
Provide training and guidance to the store teams to minimise stock loss and damages
Provide high quality relevant feedback to the managers
Work with all internal and external stakeholders, with a service-oriented collaborative, available and versatile approach.

Previous experience of retail operations and helping a retail business operate efficiently
Ability to be flexible with regular travel and occasional weekend or evening shifts

Ability to quickly establish strong credibility with team members and external resources

Sound analytical and organisational skills
