Position Summary

We are currently hiring for a Field Service Engineer II that can be located anywhere in the Northeastern US. This role will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment at customer sites in the Northeastern area of the US.  An ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a basic understanding of PLCs.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Supports in conducting standard site survey to develop base or installation design plans.
  • Advanced computer skills (for ability to operate corporate tools)
  • Demonstrates an intermediate knowledge of professional principals and skills
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non routine or problem area for others
  • Support in preparing and submitting reports covering all job activities
  • Provides support in training customers to maintain and adjust standard equipment, test equipment, calibration items, etc. based on established protocol
  • Specialized skill/training or certification may be required in addition to all prior level Tech training requirements
  • Applies judgment and authority for safety stop work
  • Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION: 
Required:

  • Required BS/BA degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 yrs of experience

 
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic Engineering Principles
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in work area
  • Commits to deliverables with customers and/or mgmt.
  • Strong understanding of business acumen; drive some strategic customer relations
  • Drive value creation in the business; excellent communication skills
  • Ability to research electro-mechanical parts needed for repairs, alterations of water systems
  • Ability to understand complex Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Familiarity with PLC including program loading and minor changes to Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's
  •  Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude

Additional Details

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 60%

TARGET SALARY: $70,00-80,000

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
