Job Description

The graphic designer role at Pillsbury is responsible for the conceptualization and development of Firmwide digital and other marketing materials. Reporting to the senior manager of digital marketing, the position will produce an array of design work to support practice business development objectives as well as overarching firm strategy. In addition to leveraging established templates and approaches to quickly develop work product that meets lawyer needs, the graphic designer is responsible for enhancing existing collateral within the parameters of the firm brand while concurrently identifying pathways to further evolve Pillsbury’s visual identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize, develop and design firmwide marketing collateral for maximum impact, strengthening brand, raising profile and meeting specific business development goals.
  • Create digital marketing assets and experiences across channels, including but not limited to web, interactive presentations, webinars, videos and social media.
  • Fulfill traditional firm marketing collateral needs, including ongoing upkeep and enhancement of brochures, newsletters, invitations, advertisements and more.
  • Support design aspects of pitch template library development, facilitating standardized presentation frameworks so lawyers and the BD team can quickly address client needs.
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring visual consistency across collateral types while also identifying and seizing upon opportunities to evolve the firm’s overall look and feel.
  • Track developing design trends and emerging tools and technologies, incorporating these new ideas into marketing workflows as appropriate. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years’ progressive graphic design, design management and execution experience.
  • High proficiency with Adobe CC, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiarity and comfort with HTML required
  • Experience of implementation/production and negotiating with vendors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to understand the strategy behind specific collateral requests and deliver visually cohesive, content that both aligns with that purpose and speaks to intended audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with various parties across the firm to clarify requests, propose possible solutions and share expert points of view.
  • Interest in the intersection of design and technology a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
