Position Overview:

As part of the talented Global Supply Chain team, you will serve as the supply chain and strategic sourcing expert for Wire Management which includes cables, wire, wire harnesses, connectors, etc. Reporting to the global sourcing director, you will set the strategic objectives of Wire Management globally and implement local execution plans to achieve supply continuity at the optimal cost.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to include negotiation, contracting and ongoing supplier value management for continuous improvement. The Sourcing leader modifies commodity sourcing strategy and tactics based upon analyzing and synthesizing changes to the internal business needs and external market drivers that can impact future business to achieve best total cost. Position will coordinate global activities across multiple sites / business units.
  • With assistance from technical staff Lead cross functional cost down teams to meet company financial objectives, including creation of business case for re-sourcing.
  • Manage assigned commodity categories through domestic, offshore, and intercompany suppliers. Drive transition of spending to low-cost regions when risk and total cost analysis justifies.
  • Cultivate supplier relationships; Suppliers must meet cost, payment terms, quality, and delivery requirements to become and maintain approved status.
  • Lead supplier development and continuous process improvement, resolve non-conformance quality, delivery, or lead time issues, establish performance scorecard, and facilitate monthly or quarterly business reviews with top tier suppliers. Serve as escalation point for material shortages and resolution.
  • Perform key supplier visits as required to evaluate capabilities and technologies with support of supplier quality and engineering.
  • Identify and implement accurate standard costs and execute on cost savings opportunities to include price, responsiveness, and agility, while leveraging size and scale of Navico group or Brunswick.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional/cross-organizational sourcing, new product development, and capital projects to achieve revenue and profitable growth objectives. Support compliance and certification to applicable standards for marine and harsh environment.
  • Develop tools and processes to comprehend supply volatilities within the supply chain.
  • Maintain departmental records, files, and information systems to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain & Improve Excel based tracking for KPI’s, risks, liabilities related to supply base
  • Negotiate and manage the trade-off between MRP, Inventory, and EOQ’s.
  • Contract review, development, management (NDA’s, MSA’s, SOW’s, etc.)
  • Create a culture of inclusion at Navico group, build a one team mindset, support development of key talent and growth opportunities for direct reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 5-7 years of supply chain / procurement experience with Cable & Wire, Wire Management, including harnesses & componentry
  • Strong verbal and written English
  • Proven negotiation skills related to cost downs
  • International and domestic logistics knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and globally, including the ability to flex hours to meet differing time zones.
  • Strong analytic skills (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience in managing multiple cross-functional projects in a face-paced business environment is essential.
  • C.P.M. certification or equivalent or preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
