Job Description
The Sales team is looking for an experienced Key Account Sales Manager to manage relationships with our most strategic accounts. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for 1-3 key accounts with highly complex requirements, regardless of their geographic location. You’ll oversee all sales activities, lead account strategy, and ensure effective execution of account plans while working collaboratively with internal teams. Your responsibilities will include managing significant partner relationships, developing long-term account strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role may involve handling confidential or sensitive information according to Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for one to three key country accounts, overseeing all sales activities and account management
  • Develop and execute master strategies for highly strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within each account
  • Act as a team leader for specific accounts, providing leadership and coordination for the account team
  • Manage significant partner relationships to support sales activities and account growth
  • Engage cross-functional teams to support complex account requirements and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain account plans, set targets, and measure success against key performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws and internal policies in handling sensitive information

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of account management experience, including 3+ years handling strategic accounts
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with high-value accounts with complex requirements
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with professionalism

The salary range for this position is $281,650.00 - $464,830.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
