About the Role

Assist the manager or above to perform supervisory duties and manage a portfolio of business to achieve business targets

Discover an unparalleled chance to create a significant impact on the world. At BlueCross, we are looking for a Manager of Business Development to join our AIA Agency team in Hong Kong. This role offers the opportunity to excel in a dynamic sales environment while giving to a healthier, more balanced future.

Duties / Accountabilities

  • Assist the senior management in performing critical supervisory duties.
  • Help generate sales, meet individual sales targets, and handle a portfolio of both renewal and new business accounts.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including collaborators, customers, partners, and team members, by regularly visiting them to introduce exceptional products and services.
  • Provide detailed quotations and advice to clients and intermediaries, handling service and product inquiries with confidence.
  • Support the team in coordinating world-class marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide advice on insurance contracts and conduct regulated activities as required.
  • Strictly handle ad-hoc projects as assigned, ensuring all deliverables are met.

Proficiencies

  • A standout colleague with phenomenal initiative, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in fast pacing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ensuring perfect documentation and presentation.

Education/Work Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration or related subject areas, or a Diploma in insurance or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Meet the Insurance Authority's criteria for licensing as an individual insurance agent, including passing IIQE Paper 1 & 2.
  • Qualified IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate), or other related professional insurance qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ shown experience in the insurance industry.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
