Job Summary:
The Senior Leadership Development Consultant works collaboratively with HR Leaders and Consultants and other OL Team to identify needs, determine appropriate interventions, support system initiatives, and implement strategies that will increase business and organizational performance. Creates and implements system leadership development programs that support the organization's objectives and foster a highly effective management and leadership structure. Develops, delivers and evaluates leadership development programs. Creates tools, models and training programs that build the capability of the Organizational Learning Team and increase the capacity of these skills for all leaders and team members across the organization. Conducts in-depth evaluation of leadership development offerings to ensure program effectiveness and positive ROI. Works with OL and HR leadership to plan and execute large scale leadership development initiatives. Uses subject matter/functional expertise, assessments and process skills to help internal customers and stakeholders identify learning and development opportunities.
Continuously liaises with all levels of leadership and staff in the delivery of OL services and the provision of consulting support. Builds and maintains long-term partnerships with external vendors to source leadership and related programs and/or tools. Provides expertise and coaching in using and implementing proprietary training instruments and curricula. The Senior Leadership Development Consultant works independently and collaboratively with OL Executive Directors an is regarded as an informal leader and will serve as proxy in absence of Executive Director.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with HR Leaders and Consultants and other OL professionals to determine current and future needs. Identify potential gaps, aligns cultural tools and provides guidance in the development of strategies to address deficits. Identifies training and education options and supports curriculum design, review and programmatic evaluation.
- Designs, develops, facilitates and evaluates professional and instructor-led and online leadership development content.
- Assesses, identifies, and provides department interventions to resolve issues, enhance performance. Conducts departmental needs analysis to ensure strategic alignment of leadership development offerings with system and departmental needs.
- Builds and maintains long-term partnerships with external vendors to source leadership and related programs and/or tools. Provides expertise and coaching in using and implementing proprietary training instruments and curricula. Aligns proprietary curricula with WellStar leadership competencies, needs and expectations.
- Conducts in-depth evaluation of leadership development offerings to ensure program effectiveness and positive ROI.
- Provides support to system and site committees by actively participating in designated planning meetings, including large scale leadership events.
- Actively participates in OD professional networks to learn, support personal development, and share best practices.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Adult Education or related field. Required or
Master's Degree Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Adult Education or related field. Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in leadership development, learning & development, organizational development, adult education or a related field; Experience in a complex multi-site organization in an intermediate to large size organization (5,000 to 10,000 FTEs) Required or
Healthcare experience Preferred
