We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting various human resources functions, with a focus on employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance in a fast-paced government contracting environment.

Description: 

  • Assisting with daily activities within human resources.  The position will interact daily with the Recruiting staff, Hiring Managers, F&A team, and Program Managers at the Company. 
  • Maintain day-to-day benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries and engage with the broker and/or benefit carriers, as needed.
  • Oversee and execute new hire orientation, including onboarding logistics, and compliance tasks.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance, including OFCCP and other federal contractor compliance requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Update and maintain employee records in HRIS; ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist with company performance management process.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources field, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • Knowledgeable of the HR requirements for a small and mid-sized company.
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems. 
  • Data-driven and detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Desired: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with Paylocity.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification.
