Job Summary

Red Hat’s AI Engineering organization is looking for an operations manager to join our newly formed and rapidly growing AI Platform Core Components team; this individual will focus on activities that organize, monitor, and sustain critical engineering development processes, support the growth and operational management of this group’s activities, and communicate progress with cross-functional partners, senior leaders, and key stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Director of Software Engineering for AI Platform Core Components. This position will be most effective working Western or Central European hours; special consideration will be provided to those able to partner collaboratively in our London office at least 3 days per week.

Act as the main point of contact for operational activities and reporting, shared systems, tools, and resources.
Drive key projects as needed across a variety of topics and areas (especially those initiatives or programs without a clear owner).
Define, drive, and create an engaging team environment with recurring “rhythm of the business” initiatives, including the organization and/or planning of: staff meetings, quarterly reviews, stakeholder presentations, etc.
Support associates through ensuring onboarding activities are documented and sustained for a high-growth team.
Identify areas of strategic importance and engage the right people and data to focus executive time and attention on rapid resolution of strategic problems.
Manage key operational milestones, which may include: creating core project documentation, taking and maintaining notes, scheduling, actively managing follow-ups and decisions from meetings, tracking milestones and workstream plans, and organizing documentation.
Support change enablement efforts including identifying change impacts, building and executing against communication plans, drafting communications and building presentations.
Coordinate and support hiring activities.

Required Skills

5+ years experience in a program or project management role, or equivalent roles providing exposure and operational management opportunities for large-scale, complex technology projects.
Experience with simultaneously managing multiple complex projects, workstreams, and competing priorities.
Strong understanding of and experience with core Global Engineering functions, processes, development model, upstream community orientation, and change management concepts.
Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross-functional environment.
