As a Product Manager you will be responsible for working with R&D, MSAT, QC and LES business functions to digitalise the analytical method lifecycle process, leveraging S88 principlesWe are building strong talent capability within GSK Tech in new innovative digital technologies to deliver improved delivery of analytical methods from development into the clinical and commercial manufacturing/ execution environments and labsRole accountable for feeding into GSK Global Supply Chain strategy for Product Development and Lifecycle Management (PDLM) tools and other applications supporting the transfer of analytical methods from R&D into our clinical and commercial manufacturing plants (New Product Introduction NPI).   
 

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: 

  • Close collaboration with various business groups (R&D, MSAT, Commercial, LES, QC) to understand business processes involved in analytical method lifecycle progression from R&D into commercial execution to develop requirements for PDLM tools 

  • Working with scientific and engineering SMEs whom define methods to understand and deliver changes for process action library (PAL) and PDLM tool requirements 

  • Working with digitalisation champions across the analytical space to propose architecture to support new disruptive/ innovative business processes 

  • Deploys NPI Products & features across the GSK Global Supply Chain locationsDelivers continuous improvement of optimised deployment model that enables improved time to value from new products & features and maximises site level adoption. Main strategic tools within portfolio are PDLM as well as risk management, but may include others. 

  • Provides input to GSK Tech Product architecture, aligning across the GSK Tech organisation on standards relating to platforms, cyber security, strategic vendors & delivery modelsEnsures total lifetime value can be effectively realised from GSK Tech Products & minimises impacts of hardware & software obsolescence & vulnerabilities over the lifetime of each GSK Tech Product. 

  • Responsible for gathering requirements and documenting business processes for process development through commercialization. 

  • Supports Enterprise Recipe Management activities to ensure New Product Introduction and appropriate data structures for continued method verfication are utilized following S88 structure. 

  • Supports the Data & Analytics strategy for GSK Tech ProductsCollaborates with key business stakeholders to develop a multiyear DD&A approach to ensure GSK Global Supply Chain has the data & insights to be competitive. 

  • Supports the implementation of service support globally for all products within portfolio, ensuring appropriate Service Levels are defined and service governance models are in place and aligned with GSK service support sourcing model.   

  • Collaborates with other key product owners to drive continuous improvement of GSK Tech’s development & deployment tools & methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: 

  • BS in either computer science, chemistry, chemical/ process engineering or related science degree  

  • 2+ years experience of product management or related requirements gathering/ business partnership role (at this level a successful candidate should have this level of experience) 

  • 1+ year experience in lab testing, pharmaceutical process development and/or tech transfer and/ or manufacturing 
     

Preferred Qualifications:   

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: 

  • Experience leading teams 

  • Experience with recipe configuration or design 

  • Strong conceptual thinking, modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills  

  • Practical experience in the implementation of continuous improvement and design/architectural methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, TOGAF, S88, S95 

  • Strong relationship building, team working 

  • Experience in LES 

  • Experience in automation/ lab automation
