The main purpose of this role is to execute payroll processes, benefits orders related to payroll, approve and release the bank deposit, generate GL reports for the BU finance areas, and create the SOX and US GAP reports from the process for compliance purposes. In addition this role is also responsible to execute the special payroll processes: Christmas bonus, Closure of the savings funds cycle, profit sharing calculation and to support the different audits and certification process related to taxes and from the BU’s.
Accomplish all compliance regulations according to Federal & State laws & regulations. The position will interact and submit information to other corporate groups and especially with the local HR Team and Finance areas from the business groups reporting directly to Local Tax Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
100% accurate an on time payroll calculation for all BU’s based on the payroll period.
Provide to the local HR Teams at the locations feedback about the payments/deductions requests and from their T&A submissions in every process.
Ensure accurate and correct loads of information from Workday, inputs for payroll and T&A into Meta4 every payroll process.
Execute weekly compliance reports to reconcile the payroll calculation.
Generate weekly disbursement reports to reconcile bank deposits and checks.
Generate benefits orders related to payroll such food stamps, short term savings funds every payroll process, ensuring on time delivery/payment the correct issue of the invoices for the company.
Generate requests for payments to the BU’s finance areas for the payroll benefits vendors such: union, Fonacot, food stamps, and other.
Perform the monthly tax adjustment and validate the results for the applicable companies.
Maintain and retain documentation of their payroll execution for compliance purposes.
Execute the out of cycle payments and urgent terminations payemnts.
Provide payroll support, expertise and guidance for internal/external customer inquiries.
Research tax laws & regulations on transactional tax issues and regular operations.
Support Company projects, identify internal GAPS or improvements and participate actively on the implementation.
Assist with other projects/programs as necessary
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree accounting, finance or business preferred.
2 years of payroll execution experience: +500 employees
Specialized Knowledge : Annual technical courses updates, excellent management of Microsoft excel.
Skills : Strong technical and project skills
Abilities: Good organizational skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent situations and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and tactfully, both verbal and writing. Technical proficient with strong analytical and research skills. Must have an ability to interface with other departments in a manner that will professionally represent the department. Support all the process in the area, information analysis, database migration, loads of mass movements, reporting and controls.
Languages: Due to the global nature of the role, proficiency in English language is a must.
