• Manages the administration of the disability and leave programs and external vendor relationship. Ensures compliance and coordination across various departments (e.g. Health Services, HRConnect, Payroll, HRIT and Workers Compensation) and vendors.
• Coordinates administration of other benefit programs while employees are on leaves.
• Provides guidance to Managers, HRConnect and employees regarding leave and disability eligibility, administration, employee resources and plan terms..
• Supports bi-weekly new employee orientation covering benefits, payroll practices, voluntary offerings and VNS Health policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline or the equivalent work experience required
CEBS Certification- or working towards designation preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum three years of benefits experience required
Demonstrated understanding of ERISA Plans (Welfare and Qualified Plans) and disability and leave administration required
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required and familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred
Experience with vendor management preferred
