Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$65,600.00 - $108,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Paralegal assists attorneys in all aspects of legal matters and file management including legal research, drafting routine documents and collection of information relevant to legal matters. The position may conduct routine investigations and develop, review and analyze various reports, responses and records.

What Will You Do?

• Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, legal articles, treaties, regulations to prepare legal documents for use by attorney, including assisting with our Regulatory Change Management processes with supervision. 
 
• Draft routine legal documents for review and use by attorneys. 
 
• Review records and compile and draft information to be used in responding to discovery or regulatory or business requirements, including subpoena productions, consumer complaints and insurance department inquiries. 
 
• Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence.
 
• Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze reports, responses and records.
 
• Conduct investigations as needed and directed, including assisting with Travelers OFAC and economic trade sanctions compliance programs to clear potential OFAC hits with supervision. 
 
• Coordinate requests between multiple parties, including internal and external counsel or clients.
 
• Participate in special administrative and legal projects as requested.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal skills to conduct interviews and investigations and communicate with other attorneys, judges and court personnel.
  • Superior grammar and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of law office procedures and local court/jurisdiction rules and procedures.
  • Resourceful research and analytical skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in Westlaw and Lexus Nexus online research.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Paralegal Certificate from An ABA-Certified program preferred.

What is a Must Have?

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a paralegal or related work experience; or i) a Associate/Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-Certified program and ii) one year of paralegal or related work experience.
