About This Opportunity

The Associate Director, Governance and Policy plays a pivotal role in overseeing UQ’s governance obligations and supporting the University’s leaders in effective and efficient governance and policy management. This position is instrumental in building and enhancing UQ’s governance culture.

About You

The successful candidate will bring a blend of relevant experience in either governance, company secretariat, policy or compliance ideally gained within a large organisation. Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary governance practices is crucial. Strong analytical, written communication and evaluative skills are necessary to support objective decision-making. Demonstrated expertise in collaborating across organisations, forming strong partnerships and relationships with senior stakeholders and possessing the skills to influence, negotiate, and resolve complex and sensitive issues.
